If I don't write something down soon, I'm going to forget what's going on with Nash each month. I get the photos taken on time, but we'll have to rely on my memory for the rest since 7 months is coming up this week!
At five months Nash is still such a good baby and easy to please. He stopped sleeping for such long stretches at night, but still does pretty well. He's a short nap-taker--an hour at a time tops, but often less. I can't complain though because he wakes up in a good mood and makes up for less sleep in the day by going to bed so early. He despises tummy-time and prefers to be held or at least sitting in view of where all the action is. He continues to turn to his head to the right side whenever he lays down so we've been trying to prop him so that he turns to the left some of the time and his head grows more evenly. I remember Jack didn't have the most proportionate noggin when he was little and it worked itself out!
Nash is a noisy baby and probably just wants to be heard above his noisy big brothers. He likes to grunt and coo and even does this fake cough sound once in a while. If he's getting hungry or tired, he starts drooling up a storm. His outfit is usually soaked by the end of the day and that's even with a change of clothes.
Six months is probably one of my favorite stages. Nash has so much personality and is fun to play with. I love how whenever I pick him up, he buries his face in my shoulder while grabbing a fistful of my hair. He's starting to become more of a momma's boy and that's okay with me too. He started eating solid foods--so far just rice cereal, oatmeal, and a little mashed fruit or veggies. He likes the cereal, but doesn't go crazy for any of it yet. He loves to hold a water bottle or grab at whatever someone is drinking.
He still loves his big brothers, but gets a little nervous if they play with him and I'm not holding him. He laughs at first then start scanning the room to see if I'm aware of this imminent danger and will come to his rescue. Overall, he's such a happy, sweet baby and we all love him like crazy.
