Jack's Favorite Things

First on the list is something Jack calls his "she-she." I received a pack of cloth diapers at one of my baby showers and I usually had one whenever I'd feed Jack to use as a burp rag. He liked holding it and before long, he always wanted it when he'd take a nap or go to sleep at night. I usually leave it in his crib in the morning, but lately he'll grab the bars of his crib yelling, "she-she" if he wants it and once I get it out, he'll drag it all around the house stopping occasionally to lay down on it.

Next up is his golf club. JP sawed one of his old clubs to be Jack's size and put a new grip on it. He loves hitting balls in the backyard or tagging along with Dad to the driving range. He thinks any ball is meant to be hit with a club including a basketball or football.

The first thing Jack asks for when he wakes up in the morning isn't breakfast, but a show. He calls cartoons shows and his favorite ones are The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the movie Shrek. He's a little obsessed with both. Here he is comfortably watching one of his shows...

Another favorite thing to do is play with his cousins. Jack has a few cousins that live here in St. George and others up north that he gets to see pretty often, but he loves it whenever they come over. Here he is earlier this year trying to give his cousin Brody a hug--who's about to get upset because Jack liked to steal his pacifier and run.

While the next thing is definitely one of Jack's favorites--it's one of my least favorites. Climbing. He's constantly climbing on chairs to reach things or just prove he's a dare-devil then jump off. He'll climb on anything including the dining room table or the dishwasher if it's open.

Other favorites include going to the park, taking showers instead of baths, his dog Lola, and of course--his super fun mom and dad!

What a great idea for a post Shelly! Jack's favorite thing - the "she-she" - was also Larkin's favorite thing. She had to have a burpcloth in her hand to suck her thumb. Which is how we got her to quit by the way. A year or so ago, right about the time she turned 3 we "gave her burpcloths to baby Sophie" (a new little baby we know). And that was the end of thumb sucking! Anyway, it's cute that they share that little love. And that pic of him in tripod position over his she-she is adorable!
