is roughly what we traveled this past week and we're glad to be back home now! Our trip started last Thursday when we left bright and early to drive to Las Vegas where we'd be flying to Austin, TX to visit JP's grandparents and his aunt Mariah's family. Even though we woke Jack up before 6:00 a.m., he was a very good traveler the entire long day. He didn't even take a nap until we had to switch planes in Dallas for the last half hour of the flight. He had his own seat on the plane and we brought his carseat so I think he thought it was just a long car ride complete with portable DVD player. Every time I'd try to get him to look out his window during take-offs and landings, he would glance over for a second like it was no big deal--something he sees every day!
Katie and her girls also flew in from Salt Lake and we all enjoyed a few days visiting with family, seeing some sites, shopping, swimming in Mariah's pool and relaxing. Jack enjoyed sword fights with Grandpa Bowman, jumping in the pool to Dad, and exploring outdoors (except he wasn't a fan of climbing trees)!

The trip home wasn't as smooth as the way there, but after a long day we made it back to St. George Monday night. We then learned the sad news of my Grandma's passing and had a couple days to unpack, do laundry, and hit the road again for a quick trip up north for the funeral. We're home safe and sound now and looking forward to a less busy week! It was good to see so much family though and travel somewhere we'd never been.

Sounds like a fun filled trip. Jack is so cute. I love his little comments. And I love the picture of him on the rock. So funny.
P.S. Ethan has that same pteryodactyl shirt.
J.P. is such a great dad!
